Gone Fishing’ at the Bathurst BCF Carp Blitz

On Saturday 4th November the Watson House Boy Boarders enjoyed an afternoon at the river with Miss Dunford.

Apparently there were a lot of carp caught on the day but none of them came near the hooks on the Watson Boys lines.

No fish but a great day at the Macquarie River for all.

Watson at the Wallabies

The Watson House and Rugby boys and their dads must have been the lucky charms the Wallabies needed as they collected their first win of the Castrol Rugby Championship against Argentina on Saturday.

The boys and dads departed Watson House at 2:00 pm and enjoyed a meal at the Murrumbateman Country Inn before travelling to GIO Stadium in Canberra for the game.

It was a great evening out and was made all the better when the Wallabies fired up in the second half to score three tries and finally put the Pumas away 45 – 20.

Thanks to all the boys and dads who attended!

Watson Take A Walk

On Sunday afternoon Miss Dunford and Mrs Allen took the Watson House Boarders and our in-house ASC Labradors for a walk to the Eglinton Bridge.

It was a great afternoon in the spring sunshine with some boys on scooters and others walking the dogs.

Some of the boys were distracted by the exercise equipment along the path, choosing to flex their muscles and display their skills.

Desserts for the Boys

This weekend the Watson Boys and new staff member Dominic Alexander and Mrs M Dunford used the leftover apples and created apple crumbles, enough for all of the boy boarders and more.

Rocks and Rivers for Watson Boarders

On Sunday 23 July 2017 the Watson House Boarders lapped up the winter sunshine as they visited Evans Crown near Tarana and Flat Rock.

The boys and new Gap staff enjoyed exploring the rocks and boulders at the top of Evans Crown before sharing a BBQ lunch on the banks of the Fish River at Flat Rock.

It was a great opportunity for the new boarders and Gap staff to spend time together and get to know the boy boarders of Watson House.

Watson House Farewells

On Friday 26 May 2017 we farewelled two of our Watson House Staff with a party style meal and atmosphere in the All Saints’ College dining hall.

David Hitchick has been Assistant Head of House for five years and will be missed by all in the boarding and wider All Saints' College community.

David is a former student who has been dedicated to boys boarding and the All Saints' Rugby program over many years.

David, Meg and the boys, Finn, Harvey and Remy are moving into the family home that they have recently purchased.

David is a busy community man who is now the Manager of Bathurst PCYC and heavily involved in the Generosity Church in Bathurst.

I am sure that we will continue to see David in and around the college and community.

Thank you, David, for all of the contributions you have made during your time at All Saints' College.

Patrick Ankjaer has also departed this week after his Gap year here at All Saints' College.

Patrick has been working in boys boarding and has travelled on many excursions and to sporting events.

He has also been working with the students in the Junior School for the past 12 months.

He will be missed by students all across the college.

We wish both David and his family and Patrick all the best as the depart All Saints' College, Bathurst.

Combat at Watson House

The young men of Watson House recently enjoyed an evening of competition, combat and fun with staff and some fathers playing Lazer Tag in and around the Bickerdike Centre.

The boys of Watson truly appreciated the evening event and games organised by our Assistant Head of House, David Hitchick.
