At ASC sport is a compulsory part of the curriculum and all students are expected to take part.  All students are offered a variety of winter or summer sports from which they can choose. Summer sports are played in terms 1 and 4, Winter sports are played in Terms 2 and 3 and the athletic season is the latter part of term 3.

Whilst sport is important it must also not be overemphasised. The experience is to be educational and in harmony with the ethos of the College.

  • Teams must understand that the object is to play well rather than merely win.
  • Sportsmanship is to be displayed at all times.

Senior School sport is played on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:45pm to 4:45pm.

The team sports for both boys and girls are very popular. Boys play Rugby, Basketball, Tennis, Cricket, and Football.

Girls play Basketball, Touch Football, Tennis, Football, Hockey, and they are a dominant force in the local Netball competitions.

Students are regularly selected for representative teams in Western Associated Schools (WAS), Independent Schools Association (ISA), Associated Independent Co-Educational Schools (AICES), NSW Combined Independent Schools (CIS) and NSW All Schools. A clear path to representation is available.

It was a great afternoon with lots of friendly rivalry between Bean, Barton and Long.
