Last Tuesday, 15th May the Wiburd Shield Cricket Team won the state wide knockout competition versus Riverina Anglican.
After struggling to 5-101, with Ben P, Hugh, Izac and Ethan being the main contributors, the boys entered the field with great determination.
After having the opposition 2 for 0 after 3 balls, we consolidated at 4 for 20, with Ben P being unplayable with 3 wickets.
Some tight bowling in the middle overs led to 3 run outs and a steady stream of wickets. Ben C took two wickets and two run outs to end the run chase. Riverina all out for 81.
This was a significant achievement and the boys can be very proud of their efforts.
