Boarding Sub-Committee FAQ
 
What is the Boarding Sub-Committee of the P&F?
We are the parents and friends of all boarding students at All Saints’ College.
 
What does the Sub-Committee do?
We hold one meeting each term, a working bee when required and social events throughout the year. The main social function is held in February or March at the home of a family in a regional location. In the past, these events have been held at Grenfell, Coolah, Tottenham, Warren, Condobolin and Nyngan. Social gatherings are organised to encourage boarding parents to get to know others in the school community. Some members of the school staff usually attend these gatherings, which enables parents to have contact with staff in an informal way.
 
What fundraising does the Sub-Committee do?
The Boarding P&F Sub-committee provide help with the Festival of Art and organise a Bottle Stall and raffles at the Spring Fair. There have been cattle, wheat and fleece schemes in the past.
 
When does the Sub Committee meet?
There are four general meetings annually. The meeting dates are usually listed on the College calendar, school website and dates for 2018. Information and a reminder are emailed to parents before each meeting and minutes are emailed after. Notices of planned activities are included on the College calendar, the VIM and Weekly Newsletter and can be accessed on the College website www.saints.nsw.edu.au via the Boarding P&F Link.
 
Can I contact the Sub-Committee?
Please feel free to contact any of the people listed at top of this page for any reason. As parents of boarding students, we have experienced the joys and challenges that arise when sending children away to school for the first time.
