  • Year 9 Geography Students to Feature in Australian Geographic!

    7 August, 2018

Last term, Year 9 Geography students studied a unit on Aquatic Biomes, with a particular focus on the shocking consequences of plastic rubbish in our oceans and waterways.

The students wrote a series of letters to businesses, government organisations and individuals, asking them to raise awareness of the seriousness of the problem.

The Year 9’s were delighted to receive responses from the Prime Minister’s Office, The NSW Premier’s Office, Andrew Gee, Member for Calare and the BTN television show.

The Australian Geographic will publish a letter written by Holly Stokes and Hannah Kelly in their next edition, and also a photo of some of our students.

Well done to both Year 9 classes - the voices of our young Australians are being listened to!
