    9 March, 2018

On Wednesday, 7th March the Western Associated Schools (WAS) Open Girls Basketball team travelled to Sydney to compete in the AICES carnival.

All Saints' was represented by Elysia Chua, Olivia Dunn, Isabelle Siegert and Bridget Ellis.

The girls played 4 round robin matches against affiliate AICES associations with two strong wins and two narrow losses. The team finished third overall.

Libby Noonan (Kinross) was named as a shadow in the AICES team selected on the day to go on to the CIS carnival later in the year.

Elysia and Olivia also caught the eye of selectors and were unlucky to miss out.

Congratulations to all the girls who played excellent basketball on the day and conducted themselves in an exemplary manner displaying great sportsmanship at every turn.

It was a pleasure to take the girls away to the tournament.

A huge thank you to Mrs Memory Sanders (Team Manager) and Vanessa Cozens (Scorer) for their support and encouragement of the day.

A big thank you also to our bus driver Mr Justin Cafe for his skilful and safe driving.

A great day was had by all.

    Mr Wayne Feebrey
