  • Triple NYSF Success!

    10 October, 2017

The College recently received the delightful news that three of our Year 11 Science students had been accepted into the 2018 National Youth Science Forum.

The Forum is a series of prestigious annual science programmes for students entering Year 12 and who wish to pursue a career in Science.

The selection process is a particularly rigorous one with students applying in Year 11 and finding a rotary club willing to support them before attending an exhaustive series of interviews.

It is always satisfying for a school to have one student selected but to have three is a stunning achievement.

I congratulate Gabrielle Burge, Elysia Chua and Bethany McCumstie and I wish them all the very best whilst attending the NYSF.

Gabrielle and Bethany will be attending Session A in Canberra at the Australian National University from January 2 to January 13, 2018, while Elysia will be attending Session B in Brisbane from January 9 to January 21 2018.

Well done to each of these most deserving students.

We look forward to hearing from them when they return.

    Peter O’Neill (Head of Science)
