    SASC Under 13s

The SASC 13s had their last game of 2018 on Saturday and despite missing training due to camps week played quite well.

Winning the toss, SASC they sent St Pat’s into bat.

SASC was strong in the field, restricting runs and keeping on their toes.

Noah Siede took an early wicket with a catch off his own bowling.

Soon after, some sharp fielding saw Lachlan Martin get the ball back to keeper Alex Morrisey who promptly removed the bails for an excellent run-out.

St Pat’s batted well through the middle of the innings before Lachlan Martin came on for his second spell and took two brilliant wickets.

Xavier Adams, Dan Mitchell, Mitchell Ellery, James Hillsdon and Lewis Schoenmaker all bowled well and Paterson Abel once again stood out, showing further improvement with the ball.

St Pat’s finished at 4/118 from their 25 overs, a good total but one the boys were giving up on chasing.

SASC batted well with Noah, James, Lewis, Dan and Sam producing runs but once again it was Lachlan Martin really pushing the run rate.

Lachlan had an exceptional day with both bat and ball but unfortunately, it wasn’t to be enough.

The boys couldn’t reach the required run rate but nonetheless were stoic at the crease to end the day at 4/55.

We look forward to our first game back next year followed by a trip to Sydney for the Big Bash!
