  • Entertaining Wiburd Shield Match

    14 November, 2017

The Wiburd Shield team played in Campbelltown against Broughton Anglican College last Friday.

The team, captained by Ralph Nicholls and coached by Mr Brien Warren, made a valiant effort on a hot day against a team with two NSW Cricket Academy players.

Broughton won the toss and elected to bat. Precise bowling by Jonah Siede, Tom Siede and Hamish Siegert led to wickets. Strong fielding included a stumping by Angus Rendall.

Hamish Siegert caught and bowled two of Broughton's key batsmen. Hamish Siegert led the run-scoring with Tom Siede, Angus Rendall and Angus Parsons also performing well.

Ultimately, the runs taken by Broughton's strong opening batsmen decided the match and the match went to Broughton. It was an entertaining and sportsmanlike match for which All Saints' should be proud.
