Mathematics

The Mathematics Department is a mix of youthful vigor and talented experience. Apart from the obvious goals of preparing students for a confident assault on major examinations such as the School Certificate and Higher School Certificate, staff attempt to acquaint students with more of the enjoyable, though stimulating, activities associated with the subject. A judicious blend of investigation, discovery and rigorous practice is augmented by opportunities for country wide competition where our students' record is strong. Both new technological advances and more traditional methods of Mathematics instruction ensure that a wide range of learning styles are employed so that individual differences are catered for.
