Career Advice

  • Year 11 students have been given information regarding recent changes to tertiary entrance, especially universities. These changes are significant and students need to be aware of their significance.

  • Any Year 11 student particularly interested in Medicine should see Mr Clydsdale regarding U.M.A.T. (Universities Medical Admissions Test) which must be undertaken by all medical applicants.

  • Child Care (Dip. Childrens Services) will be offered free of fees (due to Government funding) at Bedford College in 2009. See www.bedford.edu.au

  • Rural Entry Scheme applications for Health Sciences at Sydney University are due 30 November for entry 2009.

  • The Nursery and Garden Industry (Horticulture) is the fastest growing Primary Industry sector. Courses at Certificate level can be undertaken at TAFE. See www.ngina.com.au

  • Sydney University Summer Schools in Janurary offer intensive programs in HSC courses. See www.tsfx.com.au/nsw
