Agriculture

At All Saints' College Bathurst we aim to provide students with a variety of experiences in Agriculture.  These include vegetable production, steer preparation and showing, cropping, chicken raising, sheep production and horticulture.  Through these enterprises students develop knowledge, understanding and practical skills required in producing both plant and animal products.

The Agriculture facilities provide an outstanding resource for both teaching and learning.  They include cattle yards and crush, an enclosed dog proof paddock for sheep, a chicken brooding shed and transportable chicken facitilities.  Our vegetable growing facilities are fully organic and include a fully automated watering system.  Minimal till is used.

Students of Agriculture at ASC develop a wide range of skills while working in our Ag Centre.  We also aim to teach them to show respect for animal welfare, work safely with machinery and chemicals, exhibit teamwork and look after the environment.
